Unique Japanese Recipes

Steamed caterpillar paired with wild mountain greens is just one of the unique Japanese recipes that you are unlikely to find anywhere else on earth. High-end Japanese food is known for it's artistic presentation and exotic ingredients, such as the firefly squid that are smaller than your pinky floating in a pool of wasabi mayonnaise.

Nameko mushrooms in jellied stock, and black soy beans that shine like glass under a crust of pure gold leaf are some of the delicacies that can be found nowhere else but Japan. Cherry-blossom scented rice served with a single pink flower and salted cherry leaf, broad-bean jelly adorned with a leaf of peppery kinome and a basket of deep-fried fiddlehead ferns and wild asparagus are all presented in such a way that make them almost too beautiful to eat.
